You know the drill.
There are certain traits expected of a Jedi and while Anakin is most famously known for being the Sith Lord, Darth Vader, he started off as one of them and embodied some of their better traits. But what he fails at ends up visibly hinting at his future fall to the dark side. Despite this he did manage to build up a reputation as one of the greatest heroes in the Clone Wars and create a legacy that lasts years after especially since the identity of Darth Vader is hushed up both by those that knew him and by Darth Vader himself who refuses to reconcile what he is with the person he once was.
Jedi are supposed to be compassionate because they are meant to be peacekeepers. Kind and with a strong sense of justice they are often held up as an example of how to be a good person. Anakin is all this and his Padawan, Ahsoka even says that he is the kindest person she knew, but he can take it to a bullheaded extreme and is willing to break as many rules as he needs to do the right thing. What also differentiates him to the other Jedi is that his duty is to what he believes and not necessarily what the Jedi Council decides. He follows his own internal code on what is right and when that conflicts with other people's he'll at least show the foresight to be creative in his interpretations. He gets married in secret because he believes it's another way to show compassion and convinces himself that the dangers of attachments that the Jedi Council speaks of don't apply to him and even teaches Ahsoka early on in the Clone Wars to be as creative as him in applying orders from the Council.
Anakin's impulsive and not the type to sit back which isn't a very good combination when he's meant to be understanding and represent stability in trying times. He jumps into situations with a half-formed plan at best or makes it up completely as he goes at the worst. Because he usually manages to pull off whatever feat he's attempting he's come to have a bit of a reputation for being unconventional and unpredictable.
For good or evil, Anakin has very strong emotional reactions to everything. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is open about how he feels. Arguably this is his greatest weakness as a Jedi as he can't just separate himself from a situation. This means he finds it difficult to find balance within the Force to reach his full potential and doesn't react to situations with a cool head.
He gets attached very easily and finds it extremely difficult to let go. He may be a Jedi expected to eschew them, but it's what he finds hardest to do. On one hand this means he cares deeply for his friends and family, but on the other his fear of losing them drives him to dangerous places with his future as Darth Vader being the most obvious example. This along with his tendency to take slights personally means he also lashes out hard when he feels betrayed by the people closest to him.
As fitting of someone believed to be the Chosen one, Anakin is a gifted pilot and fighter. So while he might be sceptical of the prophecy he at least knows his skills. Cocky is a word some might use on him, but arguably it's not arrogance, rather him being secure in the knowledge that he very much is better than most people. However all the skill in the world doesn't mean there aren't things that are simply out of his control and he has yet to learn that. He still believes if he tried harder or was more powerful he could change things. It's the basis for his guilt over his mother's death and why he wants to be strong enough so something like that never happens again.
The Force is an umbrella term that covers a lot of what that he can do. These include:
Anakin Skywalker was a legendary Force-sensitive human male who was a Jedi Knight of the Galactic Republic and the prophesied Chosen One of the Jedi Order, destined to bring balance to the Force. Also known as "Ani" during his childhood, Skywalker earned the moniker "Hero With No Fear" from his accomplishments in the Clone Wars. His alter ego, Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, was created when Skywalker turned to the dark side of the Force, pledging his allegiance to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious at the end of the Republic Era.
A vergence in the Force, Skywalker was believed to have been born on the desert planet of Tatooine in the Outer Rim Territories. He was the son of Shmi Skywalker, a slave who conceived a child without a father. His blood contained over twenty-thousand midi-chlorians, surpassing that of all other Jedi in the galaxy. Qui-Gon Jinn, the Jedi Master who discovered Skywalker during the Invasion of Naboo, theorised that Skywalker was conceived by the midi-chlorians. Following the Battle of Naboo, the Jedi High Council admitted Skywalker into the Order as the Padawan of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. During the early days of the Clone Wars, Skywalker served as a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic, commanding the clone troopers of the elite 501st Legion against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He also oversaw the Jedi training of his own apprentice, Ahsoka Tano, after receiving his knighthood. Although Jedi doctrine prohibited personal relationships, Skywalker had a secret wife, Senator Padmé Amidala.
Skywalker learned that Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine was Darth Sidious, the elusive Dark Lord of the Sith who orchestrated the war in order to take over the galaxy. Manipulated into believing that the Jedi had failed him and coupled with his fear of losing Amidala in childbirth, Skywalker betrayed and turned against the Jedi Order, believing Sidious had the knowledge to cheat death.
